Battery Systems
At the NRG company, we offer expert consultation and supply the most efficient and cost-effective battery solutions tailored to your specific needs. Whether you require a battery system that integrates with solar panels, wind generators, or mains grid electricity, we ensure flexibility and reliability. From leading lithium to innovative flow batteries like zinc bromide and vanadium, we guide you towards the ideal choice. With a focus on longevity and performance, our solutions guarantee uninterrupted power supply, even during peak demand periods. Trust us to empower your facility with sustainable energy solutions that maximise efficiency and minimise costs.
Choosing a Versatile Battery System for Maximum Efficiency
Australia offers a wide range of battery systems, but a high-quality system should provide flexibility in its use. For example, an ideal battery should be able to charge from solar panels, wind generators, and, if needed, the mains grid using lower-cost off-peak electricity.
In essence, an effective battery can power your facility when solar panels or wind generators aren’t producing enough electricity. Additionally, it can help offset high peak demand charges in a more cost-effective way.
Lithium Batteries

Flow Batteries

A flow battery is a type of rechargeable battery in which energy is stored using two chemical components dissolved in liquids, typically separated by a membrane. The storage tanks can be fish tank size or bigger than a swimming pool, depending on the energy output required. There are different types of chemical liquids used to store electricity within the flow battery family, zinc bromide and vanadium flow are currently leading the field. Both of which have outstanding lifetime charge/discharge cycles, with no loss of performance over lifetime.
One minor drawback of vanadium flow batteries compared to lithium batteries is efficiency. While new lithium batteries operate at around 85% efficiency, flow batteries maintain approximately 75% efficiency throughout their lifespan. However, this trade-off is minimal considering that the average lithium battery lasts only about 1,500 charge-discharge cycles and loses around 50% of its energy output toward the end of its life.
A flow battery will keep on going at its original energy output level, just the same as when it was new.
